I always say I discovered ultramarathons right when I needed to.
I joined a startup in 2013 as an engineer. By 2017, we had grown to a team of 50 people and I was on a path to become its CEO. Around this time I started running longer distances and discovered a wonderful, supportive community of trail runners.
Running taught me about self-exploration, mental strength and physical health. I learned new ways to think about goal-setting, failure, and comradery.
At Out and Back, we enable people to uncover their own miraculous moments of personal growth by exploring the outdoors.
